If you are planning a birthday, special occasion or perhaps a business, club meeting or funeral

The Blue Anchor is the ideal location.

Your event can be held in our spacious garden room or alternatively the celebration room which offers a more private dining experience.  With the capability to cater for anything from 10 to 200 guests The Blue Anchor really is the ideal location for any occasion no matter how big or small.

With the option of three buffet templates to choose from at The Blue Anchor there really is something for everyone, feel free to call and talk to our events manager and we will ask our chefs to design your very own exclusive menu.

Finger Buffet @ £10.95 pp

Minimum of 30 persons Monday – Thursday
Minimum of 50 persons Friday – Sunday
Please note all buffets booked on weekend dates must contain two courses

Sandwiches, wraps and open sandwiches:
Hand carved ham and wholegrain mustard sandwich, chicken caesar wrap, egg mayonnaise sandwich, cheddar cheese and tomato wrap and roast beef and horseradish open sandwich

Selection of canapés: Brie and red onion marmalade, prawn marie rose, chicken liver parfait

honey glazed chipolatas, vegetable spring rolls, chips and garlic bread.

Add an Assiette of dessert selection for an extra  £2.95 per person

Cheesecake, mini brownie, lemon tart, mini pavlova and profiteroles

Cheese board selection for an extra £3.95 per person

mature cheddar, stilton and Somerset brie, served with biscuits, celery, grapes and house chutney

Cold Buffet @ £14.95 pp

Minimum of 30 persons Monday – Thursday
Minimum of 50 persons and two courses Friday – Sunday

Hand carved gammon ham served with piccalilli

Roast sirloin of aberdeen angus beef with horseradish sauce.

Poached fillet of scottish salmon with lemon and dill mayonnaise

Garlic ciabatta and herb roasted new potatoes or sweet potato fries and chips

Open sandwich and bagel selection

Smoked salmon and cream cheese, ham with wholegrain mustard, Prawn marie rose and cheddar cheese and onion

Salad Selection:

Mixed house or caesar salad, Greek feta cheese salad or cous cous salad, potato salad or coleslaw

Assiette dessert selection:

Cheesecake, mini brownie, lemon tart, mini pavlova and profiteroles.

Or choose cheeseboard selection

Mature cheddar, stilton and somerset brie, served with biscuits, celery, grapes and house chutney
